I've been on here for a few years, as some of you can see, and over time I've seen drama. I've seem the Emo Myspace cam-whores who post camera-phone photos of themselves that have been heavily edited in Photoshop to the point where you are all 'WTF?' like a dumbass at a rocket scientist convention. Then, I see the fairly good to superior artists who complain, start disputes, and make dA look like a playground.

Why do they complain? I see a lot of artists complain and bawwwww about how they never get enough pageviews, or bitch about their shitty anime 'kiriban'. Yes, this is a rant. I'm tired of seeing some artists' journals bitch about how they aren't appreciated enough, how they their most recent work they spent 20+ hours on hasn't gotten over 9,000 favorites in the first hour of being posted, and want other people to sob over their random melancholy about how they can never get any better.

I see it's mostly anime artists, an art I really don't care for much anymore. I come on dA to see the great artists who deserve to get appreciated, but those that complain about not getting enough credit don't deserve to get the attribution. I come on dA to show off photos I take, but I don't ask for anything from anyone from them. I don't ask for credit, favs, or even any pats on the back. I don't even ask for comments. Art is both a career and a hobby. It's mostly a hobby for me, as of now, anyway.

What people fail to see is art shouldn't be bitched about, unless it's stolen, but to complain about not getting appreciated? Apparently those that do all of the above, don't appreciate their own art, and shouldn't even be posting on here since they are assuming they don't get the recognition they 'deserve', which is none if you're going to be a good artist, yet whine over not getting what you want.
